11/03/04 — Praying
In continuation of this week's theme of "statues" (and because I'm praying that John Kerry can pull off a win in this US election), here's the Lady of Fatima shrine. This was shot back during my recent visit to Cape Breton and was actually in the back-end of a motor home trailer. I guess the thing travels all over North America. An audio tape played soothing church bells and inside the trailer, there was a store where one could buy tacky jewellery and various cheap religious paraphernalia. Crazy.
