01/22/05 — Another Day, Another Control Room
Ok, enough with the great outdoors. Here we are back inside the cozy control room of a semi-abandoned hydroelectric generating station. Certainly not the best picture by any means but I had to post it anyway just because being inside was such a cool experience. The place is still on the power grid so everything is pretty much turned on, it's just not doing anything.
Back when the place was running at full tilt, John Candy made an appearance here to shoot a few scenes for the rather awful movie Canadian Bacon. You can find his autograph on the wall which I guess would've been written just a few months before he died.
