05/24/05 — Springtime in Sudbury
This was taken in Sudbury (roughly four hours North of Toronto) a few kilometers inside the property of ****; the city's largest nickel mining operation. What you see here is an active nickel tailings pond containing god knows what (I'm hoping the orange stuff is just sulphur, but even that doesn't seem like a very appealing best case scenario) and yes, this is the sort of stuff that fills up incredibly large tracts of land surrounding the city. Also of note: no post-processing was applied to this picture. Scary stuff indeed.
