Taken inside an abandoned house that Teri and I decided to go take a peak into while driving around somewhere in the "mountains" South of Collingwood, ON. I was worried this one wouldn't turn out just because I didn't have the tripod with me and had to shoot handheld using a fairly low shutter speed. I guess using the doorframe as a support helped quite a bit because I barely even had to sharpen it afterwards in PS. I kinda wish I had shot this using film though, because digital *sucks* for highlights and will most likely continue to suck for some time still-- at least with cameras that are in my price range. More technical stuff: I went out and bought myself that geared Manfrotto tripod head that I've been wanting. I had the chance to try it out on Sunday and needless to say it makes things a heck of a lot easier. It's nice to finally be able to make small, precise changes-- something that was always a bit of a chore when using the other pan/tilt one. I also like how it's new and shiny, which sadly, is probably the more accurate reason behind me purchasing such a thing in the first place. |
