INCO nickel tailings pond, Sudbury, Ontario. That's basically just silt that's constantly spewing out of the pipeline; waste that's travelled a good 7km from the smelter off in the distance to the right. Currently, there are roughly two thousand acres worth of land actively receiving waste like this. An additional three thousand more exist from past use and are now covered in vegetation.
