12/30/06 — Paint it Black
A big electrical substation found a half hour or so outside of Montreal. I like this building a lot. Usually they chose much more neutral colours so that they blend in with the landscape as best they can. In the suburbs of Toronto, they even go as far as making them look just like houses. By contrast, this one looks more like the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey or maybe the former World Trade Center. Either way, given that it's surrounded by hundreds of acres of corn fields, it really stands out.
