08/12/07 — Interchanges

A series of shots taken while walking towards Montreal's crumbling Turcot interchange. More than forty years after its construction, it was announced last month that it will be demolished and replaced with something built at ground level. While many here view it as an eyesore and an inefficient use of space, I find it somewhat bittersweet that one of Montreal's modernist landmarks will be lost. I've only been living in Montreal for a year, but I've grown to enjoy it immensely both by car, and by foot.
