07/03/08 — Returning to Square One
I've already taken a bunch of photos of asbestos mines in Quebec before, but I've decided to scrap those and re-shoot as much as I can using film and the Hasselblad. I figure they'll fit in better with the 6x6 photos that I've already taken elsewhere which are probably the ones that I'm most proud of. Digital comes in handy with the underground stuff, but lately I've been feeling less than enthusiastic about using it for anything else. I've been bringing it along with me as a back-up, but at this point it isn't really serving much purpose other than adding extra weight to have to haul around.
Anyways.. long story short: expect a batch of square photos from asbestos country over the next little while.
