Is this real? It looks like a painting. Great lighting.

Oh my God.

Excellent shot. Really shows off Ontario's pride in our electrical power heritage. If the plant was in Russia everything would be painted, polished and converted into a museum. Just because the plant has been closed is no reason to leave it to rot. Damn shame ...

Amazing shot of beautiful architecture!

Stunning -- perhaps the most interesting shot I've ever seen from this place. Don't hesitate -- print and frame this one.

A beautiful scene (beautifully seen) and a great use of the square format...what more can one say - it looks like a movie set or computer game staging!

This is definately one of the best on the site! It almost looks like the background is a painting or backdrop in a studio!

I remember that front entry! I worked there in the late fourties, my first permanent job. (Wouldn't allow us slaves to enter the plant throught those doors, though!) It was spotless and dustless, everything all spit and polish. I know. As a starting job, I was a wiper! The guy that mops the floors and goes around with cloths dusting everything and polishing the brass. We used Brasso! Each floor of the plant was mopped once each shift! This was the Generator Floor, below it the Governor Floor, next, the Distribution and breaker rooms and finally deep down in the cavity, actually at the bottom of the Falls level, the Turbine Floor.
Its good to see and see how the marble stood up. Remember though, this plant back then was owned by Toronto, maintained and operated by Ontario Hydro by the time I worked there, and now is defunct to allow more water to flow to more efficient generating stations like Sir Adam Beck #2.

This is really spectacular. It's the juxtaposition of the incongruous that really makes it for me. Congratulations, it's wonderfully done.
