(As for the title, it's a bit of an inside joke. Once we walked by an awful looking restaurant on the main drag of Niagara Falls and heard a phony calypso band playing an equally awful song. We imagined a scene in a movie where the singer writes a letter home, and starts it off with the line 'Dear Mom, I FINALLY made it'.)
