Who needs wide angles, anyways? This is beautiful, just about perfect. Long exposure?

Thanks. I think this was exposed for about 45 seconds at 400 ISO, so it wasn't excessively long.

Curious: How does it smell down there?

It's like a cross between liquid laundry detergent and pond water. Not a good smell, but not a terrible one either. Stuff coming out of toilets doesn't actually amount to much of the total flow so it doesn't exactly smell the way you might expect it to.

What you did with the camera is great, but what intrigues me even more is how did you arrange your lighting set up?
Kudos, and thanks for sharing.

Ron: There was a fair amount of trial and error involved, but I placed two small fluorescent lights on the two ledges and kept them on during the entire exposure. I also lit up the areas in the foreground using a halogen spotlight for a couple of seconds and then walked down into the other pipe and did the same thing there.
